We received an e-card with the following message from 22-year-old Katia, a young woman who had valve replacement surgery last year at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

hi, how are you, to day is a good day for me because that make me 1 year. i can’t forget that day because when i finish my operation, you gave me support. i never had no one. that country you give me all you represent. my mother thanks for all. 3 dec is a memorial day for i have 1 year now after my operation. kiss for you. i don’t know what i can do to give you. i miss you. God bless you. don’t forget me.
